Hosea 1:1-10 NIV

1 The word of the LORD that came1 to Hosea son of Beeri during the reigns of Uzziah,2 Jotham,3 Ahaz4 and Hezekiah,5 kings of Judah,6 and during the reign of Jeroboam7 son of Jehoasha king of Israel:8

      Hosea's Wife and Children

      2 When the LORD began to speak through Hosea, the LORD said to him, "Go, take to yourself an adulterous9 wife and children of unfaithfulness, because the land is guilty of the vilest adultery10 in departing from the LORD."
