Andoneof the elderssaith unto me,Weepnot:behold, the Lionof* the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book,and to loose the sevensealsthereof.

And I beheld, and,lo, in the midst of the throneand of the fourbeasts,andin the midst of the elders,stood a Lambas it had been slain, havingsevenhornsandseveneyes,whichare the sevenSpirits of God sent forthintoall the earth.

Andwhen he had taken the book, the fourbeastsandfour and twentyelders fell downbefore the Lamb,having every one of themharps,andgoldenvialsfull of odours,whichare the prayers of saints.

And they sung a newsong,saying, Thou artworthy to take the book,and to open the sealsthereof:for thou wast slain, and hast redeemedus to Godbythyblood out ofeverykindred,andtongue,andpeople,andnation;
