View In My Bible
13 "Keep silent1 and let me speak;2 then let come to me what may.3 14 Why do I put myself in jeopardy and take my life in my hands?4 15 Though he slay me, yet will I hope5 in him;6 I will surelya defend my ways to his face.7 16 Indeed, this will turn out for my deliverance,8 for no godless9 man would dare come before him!10 17 Listen carefully to my words;11 let your ears take in what I say. 18 Now that I have prepared my case,12 I know I will be vindicated.13 19 Can anyone bring charges against me?14 If so, I will be silent15 and die.16 20 "Only grant me these two things, O God, and then I will not hide from you: 21 Withdraw your hand17 far from me, and stop frightening me with your terrors.18 22 Then summon me and I will answer,19 or let me speak, and you reply.20 23 How many wrongs and sins have I committed?21 Show me my offense and my sin.22
