Deuteronomy 25:16

16 For all that do such things and all that do unrighteously are an abomination unto the LORD thy God.

Deuteronomy 25:16 Meaning and Commentary

Deuteronomy 25:16

For all that do such things
Keep, different weights and measures, and make use of them to defraud their neighbours in buying and selling:

[and] all that do unrighteously;
what is not just and right between man and man, in any other instance whatever:

[are] an abomination unto the Lord thy God;
both they and their actions; he is a righteous God, and loves righteousness, and hates injustice of every kind.

Deuteronomy 25:16 In-Context

14 Thou shalt not have in thy house different measures, a great and a small.
15 But thou shalt have a perfect and just weight, a perfect and just measure shalt thou have, that thy days may be lengthened in the land which the LORD thy God gives thee.
16 For all that do such things and all that do unrighteously are an abomination unto the LORD thy God.
17 Remember what Amalek did unto thee by the way when ye were come forth out of Egypt,
18 how he met thee by the way and smote the hindmost of thee, even all that were feeble behind thee, when thou wast faint and weary and he did not fear God.
