1For the kingdom of heavenislike unto a man that is an householder, which went out early in the morningtohirelabourersintohisvineyard.2And when he had agreedwith the labourersfor a pennya a day, he sentthemintohisvineyard.3And he went outabout the thirdhour, and sawothersstandingidlein the marketplace,4And said unto them;Goyealsointo the vineyard, andwhatsoeverisright I will giveyou. And they went their way .5Again he went outabout the sixthandninthhour, and didlikewise.6Andabout the eleventhhour he went out , and foundothersstandingidle, andsaith unto them,Why stand yehereall the dayidle?7They say unto him,Because no man hath hiredus. He saith unto them,Goyealsointo the vineyard;andwhatsoeverisright, that shall ye receive .8So when even was come , the lord of the vineyardsaith unto hissteward,Call the labourers, andgivethem their hire, beginningfrom the lastunto the first.9And when they came that were hired about the eleventhhour, they received every man a penny.10But when the firstcame , they supposedthat they should have receivedmore;and they likewisereceived every manapenny.11And when they had received it, they murmuredagainst the goodman of the house,12Saying , Theselast have wroughtb but onehour, and thou hast madethemequal unto us,which have borne the burdenandheat of the day.13But he answeredone of them, and said , Friend, I dotheenowrong : didstnot thou agree with me for a penny?14Take that thine is, and go thy way : I willgive unto thislast, evenas unto thee.15Is it notlawful for me to dowhat I willwith mine own ? Isthineeyeevil,becauseIamgood?16So the last shall befirst, and the firstlast:formanybecalled,butfewchosen.17AndJesus going uptoJerusalemtook the twelvedisciplesapartin the way, andsaid unto them,18Behold , we go uptoJerusalem;and the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priestsand unto the scribes, and they shall condemnhim to death,19And shall deliverhim to the Gentilestomock , and to scourge , and to crucify him: and the thirdday he shall rise again .20Thencame to him the mother of Zebedee'schildrenwithhersons, worshipping him, anddesiring a certainthing of him.21And he said unto her,What wilt thou ? She saith unto him,Grantthatthesemytwosons may sit , the oneonthy right hand, and the otheron the left,inthykingdom.22ButJesusanswered and said , Ye knownotwhat ye ask . Are ye able to drink of the cupthatIshall drink of , and to be baptized with the baptismthatI am baptized with ? They say unto him, We are able .
23And he saith unto them,Ye shall drinkindeed of mycup, and be baptized with the baptismthatI am baptized with : but to sitonmy right hand, andonmyleft, isnotmine to give , but it shall be given to them for whom it is preparedofmyFather.24And when the tenheard it, they were moved with indignationagainst the twobrethren.25ButJesuscalledthem unto him, and said , Ye knowthat the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion overthem, and they that are great exercise authority uponthem.26But it shallnotbesoamongyou:butwhosoeverwillbegreatamongyou, let him beyourminister;27Andwhosoeverwillbechiefamongyou, let him beyourservant:28Even as the Son of mancamenot to be ministered unto , but to minister , and to givehislife a ransomformany.29And as theydepartedfromJericho, a greatmultitudefollowedhim.30And,behold , two blind mensitting by the wayside, when they heardthatJesus passed by , cried out , saying , Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou Son of David.31And the multituderebukedthem, because they should hold their peace : but they cried the more, saying , Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou Son of David.32AndJesus stood still , and calledthem, andsaid , What will ye that I shall do unto you?33
They say unto him,Lord, thatoureyes may be opened .
34SoJesus had compassion on them, and touchedtheireyes:andimmediatelytheireyes received sight , and they followedhim.
