For to one is given the word of 1wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of 2knowledge according to the same Spirit ;

to another 3faith aby the same Spirit, and to another 4gifts of bhealing cby the one Spirit,
10
and to another the deffecting of e5miracles, and to another 6prophecy, and to another the f7distinguishing of spirits, to another various 8kinds of tongues, and to another the 9interpretation of tongues.

But one and the same Spirit works all these things, 10distributing to each one individually just as He wills.

For even 11as the body is one and yet has many members, and all the members of the body, though they are many, are one body, 12so also is Christ.

For g13by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether 14Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to 15drink of one Spirit.

For 16the body is not one member, but many.

If the foot says, "Because I am not a hand, I am not a part of the body," it is not for this reason hany the less a part of the body.

And if the ear says, "Because I am not an eye, I am not a part of the body," it is not for this reason iany the less a part of the body.

If the whole body were an eye, where would the hearing be? If the whole were hearing, where would the sense of smell be?

But now God has 17placed the members, each one of them, in the body, 18just as He desired.
