To my 1shame I must say that we have been 2weak by comparison. But in whatever respect anyone else 3is bold -I 4speak in foolishness -I am just as bold myself.

Are they 5Hebrews ? 6So am I. Are they 7Israelites ? 8So am I. Are they a9descendants of Abraham ? 10So am I.

Are they 11servants of Christ ?-I speak as if insane -I more so ; in b12far more labors, in c13far more imprisonments, d14beaten times without number, often in 15danger of death.

Five times I received from the Jews 16thirty-nine lashes.

Three times I was 17beaten with rods, once I was 18stoned, three times I was shipwrecked, a night and a day I have spent in the deep.

I have been on frequent journeys, in dangers from rivers, dangers from robbers, dangers from my 19countrymen, dangers from the 20Gentiles, dangers in the 21city, dangers in the wilderness, dangers on the sea, dangers among 22false brethren ;

I have been in 23labor and hardship, ethrough many sleepless nights, in 24hunger and thirst, often 25without food, in cold and f26exposure.

Apart from such gexternal things, there is the daily pressure on me of concern for 27all the churches.

Who is 28weak without my being weak ? Who is hled into sin iwithout my intense concern ?
