Their Ministry Commended

1 And ¹working together with Him, ²we also urge you not to receive ³the grace of God in vain - 2 for He says, "⁴AT THE ACCEPTABLE TIME I LISTENED TO YOU, AND ON THE DAY OF SALVATION I HELPED YOU." Behold, now is "THE ACCEPTABLE TIME," behold, now is "THE DAY OF SALVATION "- 3 ⁵giving no cause for offense in anything, so that the ministry will not be discredited, 4 but in everything ⁶commending ourselves as ^a⁷servants of God, ⁸in much endurance, in afflictions, in hardships, in distresses, 5 in ⁹beatings, in imprisonments, in ¹⁰tumults, in labors, in sleeplessness, in ¹¹hunger, 6 in purity, in ¹²knowledge, in ¹³patience, in kindness, in the ¹⁴Holy Spirit, in ¹⁵genuine love, 7 in ¹⁶the word of truth, in ¹⁷the power of God ; by ¹⁸the weapons of righteousness for the right hand and the left, 8 by glory and ¹⁹dishonor, by ²⁰evil report and good report ; regarded as ²¹deceivers and yet ²²true ;
