34 "As for the fact that He 1raised Him up from the dead, no longer to return to decay, He has spoken in this way: '2I WILL GIVE YOU THE HOLY and aSURE blessings OF DAVID.' 35 "Therefore He also says in another Psalm, '3YOU WILL NOT bALLOW YOUR cHOLY ONE TO dUNDERGO DECAY.' 36 "For 4David, after he had eserved 5the purpose of God in his own generation, 6fell asleep, and was laid among his fathers and funderwent decay; 37 but He whom God 7raised did not gundergo decay. 38 "Therefore let it be known to you, brethren , that 8through hHim forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you, 39 and ithrough Him 9everyone who believes is jfreed kfrom all things, from which you could not be lfreed mthrough the Law of Moses. 40 "Therefore take heed, so that the thing spoken of 10in the Prophets may not come upon you: 41 '11BEHOLD, YOU SCOFFERS, AND MARVEL, AND nPERISH; FOR I AM ACCOMPLISHING A WORK IN YOUR DAYS, A WORK WHICH YOU WILL NEVER BELIEVE, THOUGH SOMEONE SHOULD DESCRIBE IT TO YOU.' " 42 As oPaul and Barnabas were going out, the people kept begging that these pthings might be spoken to them the next 12Sabbath. 43 Now when the meeting of the synagogue had broken up, many of the Jews and of the 13God-fearing q14proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas, who, speaking to them, were urging them to continue in 15the grace of God.
