1a1It was for freedom that Christset us free ; therefore2keep standingfirm and do not be subjectagain to a 3yoke of slavery.
2Behold I, 4Paul, say to you that if you receive5circumcision, Christ will be of nobenefit to you.
3
And I 6testifyagain to everyman who receives7circumcision, that he is underobligation to 8keep the wholeLaw.
4
You have been severed from Christ, you whobare seeking to be justified by law ; you have 9fallen from grace.
5
For we cthrough the Spirit, dby faith, are 10waiting for the hope of righteousness.
6
For in 11ChristJesus12neithercircumcisionnoruncircumcisionmeansanything, but 13faithworkingthroughlove.
7
You were 14runningwell ; whohindered you from obeying the truth ?
8Thispersuasion did not come from 15Him who calls you.
916A littleleavenleavens the wholelump of dough.
1017I haveconfidenceein you in the Lord that you 18will adoptnootherview ; but the one who is 19disturbing you will bear his judgment, whoever he is.
11
But I, brethren, if I stillpreachcircumcision, why am I still20persecuted ? Then21the stumblingblock of the cross has been abolished.
12
I wish that 22those who are troubling you would evenf23mutilate themselves.
13
For you were called to 24freedom, brethren ; 25only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but throughlove26serveoneanother.
14
For 27the wholeLaw is fulfilled in oneword, in the statement, "28YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF."
15
But if you 29bite and devouroneanother, takecare that you are not consumed by oneanother.
16
But I say, 30walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out 31the desire of the flesh.
17
For 32the fleshgsets its desireagainst the Spirit, and the Spiritagainst the flesh ; for these are in opposition to oneanother, 33so that you may not do the things that you hplease.
18
But if you are 34led by the Spirit, 35you are not under the Law.
19Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: i36immorality, impurity, sensuality,
20idolatry, 37sorcery, enmities, 38strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, 39disputes, dissensions, j40factions,
21envying, 41drunkenness, carousing, and things likethese, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practicesuchthings will not 42inherit the kingdom of God.
22
But 43the fruit of the Spirit is 44love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
23gentleness, 45self-control ; againstsuchthings46there is nolaw.
24Nowthose who kbelong to 47ChristJesus have 48crucified the flesh with its passions and 49desires.
25If we live by the Spirit, let us alsolwalk50by the Spirit.
26
Let us not become51boastful, challengingoneanother, envyingoneanother.
