and the sons of Joseph, who were born to him in Egypt were dtwo ; 4all the persons of the house of Jacob, who came to Egypt, were seventy.

Now he sentJudahbefore him to Joseph, to point out the way before him to 5Goshen ; and they came into the land of Goshen.
29Josepheprepared his chariot and went up to Goshen to meet his fatherIsrael ; as soon as he appearedfbefore him, he fell on his neck and 6wept on his neck a longtime.

Then Israelsaid to Joseph, "Now let me die, since I have seen your face, that you are stillalive."
31Josephsaid to his brothers and to his father'shousehold, "7I will go up and tellPharaoh, and will say to him, 'My brothers and my father'shousehold, who were in the land of Canaan, have come to me;

and the men are shepherds, for they have beengkeepers of livestock ; and they have brought their flocks and their herds and all that they have.'
33"WhenPharaohcalls you and says, '8What is your occupation ?'

you shall say, 'Your servants have beenh9keepers of livestock from our youth even untilnow, both we and our fathers,' that you may ilive in the land of 10Goshen ; for everyshepherd is j11loathsome to the Egyptians."
