God's Final Word in His Son
1 God, after He 1spoke long ago to the fathers in 2the prophets in many portions and 3in many ways, 2 a4in these last days 5has spoken to us bin 6His Son, whom He appointed 7heir of all things, 8through whom also He made the c9world. 3 dAnd He is the radiance of His glory and the exact 10representation of His nature, and e11upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made 12purification of sins, He 13sat down at the right hand of the 14Majesty on high, 4 having become as much better than the angels, as He has inherited a more excellent 15name than they. 5 For to which of the angels did He ever say, "16YOU ARE MY SON, TODAY I HAVE BEGOTTEN YOU"? And again, "17I WILL BE A FATHER TO HIM AND HE SHALL BE A SON TO ME"? 6 And fwhen He again 18brings the firstborn into g19the world, He says, "20AND LET ALL THE ANGELS OF GOD WORSHIP 7 And of the angels He says, "21WHO MAKES HIS ANGELS WINDS, AND HIS MINISTERS A FLAME OF FIRE." 8 But of the Son He says, "22YOUR THRONE, O GOD, IS FOREVER AND EVER, AND THE RIGHTEOUS SCEPTER IS THE SCEPTER OF hHIS KINGDOM. 9 "23YOU HAVE LOVED RIGHTEOUSNESS AND HATED LAWLESSNESS ; 24THEREFORE GOD, YOUR GOD, HAS 25ANOINTED YOU WITH THE OIL OF GLADNESS ABOVE YOUR COMPANIONS." 10 And, "26YOU, LORD, IN THE BEGINNING LAID THE FOUNDATION OF THE EARTH, AND THE HEAVENS ARE THE WORKS OF YOUR HANDS ; 11 27THEY WILL PERISH, BUT YOU REMAIN ; 28AND THEY ALL WILL BECOME OLD LIKE A GARMENT, 12 29AND LIKE A MANTLE YOU WILL ROLL THEM UP; LIKE A GARMENT THEY WILL ALSO BE CHANGED.
