1God, after He 1spokelongago to the fathers in 2the prophets in manyportions and 3in manyways,
2
[a]4in theselastdays5has spoken to us [b]in 6His Son, whom He appointed7heir of allthings, 8throughwhomalso He made the [c]9world.
3
[d]And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact10representation of His nature, and [e]11upholdsallthings by the word of His power. When He had made12purification of sins, He 13satdown at the righthand of the 14Majesty on high,
4
having become as muchbetter than the angels, as He has inherited a moreexcellent15namethan they.
5
For to which of the angels did He eversay, "16YOU ARE MY SON, TODAY I HAVE BEGOTTEN YOU"? And again, "17I WILL BE A FATHER TO HIM AND HE SHALL BE A SON TO ME"?
6
And [f]when He again18brings the firstborn into [g]19the world, He says, "20AND LET ALL THE ANGELS OF GODWORSHIP
7
And of the angels He says, "21WHO MAKES HIS ANGELSWINDS, AND HIS MINISTERS A FLAME OF FIRE."
8
But of the Son He says, "22YOUR THRONE, O GOD, IS FOREVER AND EVER, AND THE RIGHTEOUSSCEPTER IS THE SCEPTER OF [h]HIS KINGDOM.
9
"23YOU HAVE LOVEDRIGHTEOUSNESS AND HATEDLAWLESSNESS; 24THEREFORE*GOD, YOUR GOD, HAS 25ANOINTED YOU WITH THE OIL OF GLADNESSABOVE YOUR COMPANIONS."
10
And, "26YOU, LORD, IN THE BEGINNINGLAID THE FOUNDATION OF THE EARTH, AND THE HEAVENS ARE THE WORKS OF YOUR HANDS;
11
27THEY WILL PERISH, BUT YOU REMAIN; 28AND THEY ALL WILL BECOMEOLDLIKE A GARMENT,
12
29AND LIKE A MANTLE YOU WILL ROLL THEM UP; LIKE A GARMENT THEY WILL ALSO BE CHANGED. BUT YOU ARE 30THE SAME, AND YOUR YEARS WILL NOT COME TO AN END."
13
But to which of the angels has He eversaid, "31SIT AT MY RIGHTHAND, 32UNTIL I MAKE YOUR ENEMIES A FOOTSTOOL FOR YOUR FEET "?
14
Are they not all33ministeringspirits, sent out to render service for the sake of those who will34inherit35salvation?
