"1Come, let us return to the LORD. For 2He has torn us, but 3He will heal us; He has awounded us, but He will 4bandage us.

"He will 5revive us after two days ; He will 6raise us up on the thirdday, That we may livebefore Him.

"So let us 7know, let us press on to know the LORD. His 8goingforth is as certain as the dawn ; And He will come to us like the 9rain, Like the springrainwatering the earth."
4What shall I do with you, O 10Ephraim ? What shall I do with you, O Judah ? For your bloyalty is like a 11morningcloud And like the dew which goes away early.
5Therefore I have 12hewn them in pieces by the prophets ; I have slain them by the 13words of My mouth ; And the judgments on you are like the light that goesforth.

For 14I delight in loyalty15ratherthansacrifice, And in the knowledge of Godratherthanburntofferings.

But 16like cAdam they have 17transgressed the covenant ; There they have 18dealttreacherously against Me.
819Gilead is a city of wrongdoers, Tracked with 20bloody footprints.

And as 21raiderswait for a man, So a band of priests22murder on the way to Shechem ; Surely they have committedd23crime.

In the house of Israel I have seen a 24horriblething ; Ephraim's25harlotry is there, Israel has defiled itself.
11Also, O Judah, there is a 26harvest appointed for you, When I 27restore the fortunes of My people.
