Numbers 21:3-13 NAS

3 The LORD heard the voice of Israel and delivered up the Canaanites; then they autterly destroyed them and their cities. Thus the name of the place was called b1Hormah.

              The Bronze Serpent

              6 5The LORD sent fiery serpents among the people and 6they bit the people, so that 7many people of Israel died.
