Proverbs 22:6-16

1Train up a child in the way he should go, Even when he is old he will not depart from it.
The 2rich rules over the poor, And the borrower becomes the lender's slave.
He who 3sows iniquity will reap vanity, And the 4rod of his fury will perish.
He who is 5generous * will be blessed, For he 6gives some of his food to the poor.
7Drive out the scoffer, and contention will go out, Even strife and dishonor will cease.
He who loves 8purity of heart And whose speech is 9gracious, the king is his friend.
The eyes of the LORD preserve knowledge, But He overthrows the words of the treacherous man.
The 10sluggard says, "There is a lion outside; I will be killed in the streets!"
The mouth of 11an adulteress is a deep pit; He who is 12cursed of the LORD will fall into it.
Foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child; The 13rod of discipline will remove it far from him.
He 14who oppresses the poor to make more for himself Or who gives to the rich, 15will only come to poverty.
