1Why do you 1boast in evil, O mightyman? The 2lovingkindness of God endures allday long.
Your tonguedevises3destruction, Like a 4sharprazor, 5O worker of deceit.
You 6loveevilmorethangood, 7Falsehoodmorethanspeakingwhat is right. aSelah.
You loveallwords that devour, O 8deceitfultongue.
5bBut God will break you downforever; He will snatch you up and 9tear you away from your tent, And 10uproot you from the 11land of the living. Selah.
The righteous will 12see and fear, And will 13laugh at him, saying,
7"Behold, the man who would not makeGod his refuge, But 14trusted in the abundance of his riches And 15was strong in chis evil desire."
But as for me, I am like a 16greenolivetree in the house of God; I 17trust in the lovingkindness of Godforever and ever.
I will 18give You thanksforever, because You have done it, And I will wait on Your name, 19for it is good, in the presence of Your godlyones.
