1 Y David volvió a juntar todos los escogidos de Israel, treinta mil.

David again brought together all the able young men of Israel—thirty thousand.
2 Y se levantó David, y fue con todo el pueblo que <I>tenía</I> consigo, de Baala de Judá, para hacer pasar de allí el arca de Dios, sobre la cual era invocado el nombre del SEÑOR de los ejércitos, que mora en ella entre los querubines.

He and all his men went to Baalah in Judah to bring up from there the ark of God, which is called by the Name, the name of the LORD Almighty, who is enthroned between the cherubim on the ark.
3 Y pusieron el arca de Dios sobre un carro nuevo, y la llevaron de la casa de Abinadab, que <I>estaba</I> en Gabaa; y Uza y Ahío, hijos de Abinadab, guiaban el carro nuevo.

They set the ark of God on a new cart and brought it from the house of Abinadab, which was on the hill. Uzzah and Ahio, sons of Abinadab, were guiding the new cart
4 Y cuando lo llevaban de la casa de Abinadab que estaba en Gabaa, con el arca de Dios, Ahío iba delante del arca.

with the ark of God on it, and Ahio was walking in front of it.
5 Y David y toda la casa de Israel danzaban delante del SEÑOR con toda suerte de <I>instrumentos de</I> madera de haya; con arpas, salterios, adufes, flautas y címbalos.

David and all Israel were celebrating with all their might before the LORD, with castanets, harps, lyres, timbrels, sistrums and cymbals.
6 Y cuando llegaron a la era de Nacón, Uza extendió <I>la mano</I> al arca de Dios, y la tuvo; porque los bueyes daban sacudidas.

When they came to the threshing floor of Nakon, Uzzah reached out and took hold of the ark of God, because the oxen stumbled.
7 Y el furor del SEÑOR se encendió contra Uza, y lo hirió allí Dios por aquella temeridad, y cayó allí muerto junto al arca de Dios.

The LORD’s anger burned against Uzzah because of his irreverent act; therefore God struck him down, and he died there beside the ark of God.
8 Y se entristeció David por haber herido el SEÑOR a Uza; y fue llamado aquel lugar Pérez-uza (<I>rotura de Uza</I> ), hasta hoy.

Then David was angry because the LORD’s wrath had broken out against Uzzah, and to this day that place is called Perez Uzzah.
9 Y temiendo David al SEÑOR aquel día, dijo: ¿Cómo ha de venir a mí el arca del SEÑOR?

David was afraid of the LORD that day and said, “How can the ark of the LORD ever come to me?”
10 No quiso, pues, David traer a sí el arca del SEÑOR a la ciudad de David; mas la llevó David a casa de Obed-edom geteo.

He was not willing to take the ark of the LORD to be with him in the City of David. Instead, he took it to the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite.
11 Y estuvo el arca del SEÑOR en casa de Obed-edom geteo tres meses; y bendijo el SEÑOR a Obed-edom y a toda su casa.

The ark of the LORD remained in the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite for three months, and the LORD blessed him and his entire household.
12 Y fue dado aviso al rey David, diciendo: El SEÑOR ha bendecido la casa de Obed-edom, y todo lo que tiene, a causa del arca de Dios. Entonces David fue, y trajo el arca de Dios de casa de Obed-edom a la ciudad de David con fiestas.

Now King David was told, “The LORD has blessed the household of Obed-Edom and everything he has, because of the ark of God.” So David went to bring up the ark of God from the house of Obed-Edom to the City of David with rejoicing.
13 Y cuando los que llevaban el arca de Dios habían andado seis pasos, sacrificaban un buey y <I>un carnero</I> grueso.

When those who were carrying the ark of the LORD had taken six steps, he sacrificed a bull and a fattened calf.
14 Y David saltaba con toda su fuerza delante del SEÑOR; y tenía vestido David un efod de lino.

Wearing a linen ephod, David was dancing before the LORD with all his might,
15 Así David y toda la casa de Israel llevaban el arca del SEÑOR con júbilo y sonido de trompeta.

while he and all Israel were bringing up the ark of the LORD with shouts and the sound of trumpets.
16 Y cuando el arca del SEÑOR llegó a la ciudad de David, aconteció que Mical hija de Saúl estaba <I>mirando</I> desde una ventana, y vio al rey David que saltaba y bailaba con toda su fuerza delante del SEÑOR; y le menospreció en su corazón.

As the ark of the LORD was entering the City of David, Michal daughter of Saul watched from a window. And when she saw King David leaping and dancing before the LORD, she despised him in her heart.
17 Metieron, pues, el arca del SEÑOR, y la pusieron en su lugar en medio de una tienda que David le había tendido; y sacrificó David holocaustos y pacíficos delante del SEÑOR.

They brought the ark of the LORD and set it in its place inside the tent that David had pitched for it, and David sacrificed burnt offerings and fellowship offerings before the LORD.
18 Y cuando David hubo acabado de ofrecer los holocaustos y pacíficos, bendijo al pueblo en el nombre del SEÑOR de los ejércitos.

After he had finished sacrificing the burnt offerings and fellowship offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD Almighty.
19 Y repartió a todo el pueblo, y a toda la multitud de Israel, así a hombres como <I>a</I> mujeres, a cada uno una torta de pan, y un pedazo de carne, y un frasco <I>de vino</I> . Y se fue todo el pueblo, cada uno a su casa.

Then he gave a loaf of bread, a cake of dates and a cake of raisins to each person in the whole crowd of Israelites, both men and women. And all the people went to their homes.
20 Volvió <I>luego</I> David para bendecir su casa; y saliendo Mical a recibir a David, dijo: ¡Cuán honrado ha sido hoy el rey de Israel, desenvolviéndose hoy delante de las criadas de sus siervos, como si fuese un <I> hombre</I> vacío!

When David returned home to bless his household, Michal daughter of Saul came out to meet him and said, “How the king of Israel has distinguished himself today, going around half-naked in full view of the slave girls of his servants as any vulgar fellow would!”
21 Entonces David respondió a Mical: Delante del SEÑOR, que me eligió por encima de tu padre y de toda su casa, mandándome que fuese príncipe sobre el pueblo del SEÑOR, sobre Israel, danzaré delante del SEÑOR.

David said to Michal, “It was before the LORD, who chose me rather than your father or anyone from his house when he appointed me ruler over the LORD’s people Israel—I will celebrate before the LORD.
22 Y <I>aún</I> me haré más vil que esta vez, y seré bajo a mis propios ojos; y delante de las criadas que dijiste, delante de ellas seré honrado.

I will become even more undignified than this, and I will be humiliated in my own eyes. But by these slave girls you spoke of, I will be held in honor.”
23 Y Mical hija de Saúl nunca tuvo hijos hasta el día de su muerte.

And Michal daughter of Saul had no children to the day of her death.
