Psalm 149

TMB 1 Praise ye the LORD! Sing unto the LORD a new song, and His praise in the congregation of saints! NIV 1 Praise the LORD. Sing to the LORD a new song, his praise in the assembly of the saints. TMB 2 Let Israel rejoice in Him that made him; let the children of Zion be joyful in their King. NIV 2 Let Israel rejoice in their Maker; let the people of Zion be glad in their King. TMB 3 Let them praise His name in the dance; let them sing praises unto Him with the timbrel and harp. NIV 3 Let them praise his name with dancing and make music to him with tambourine and harp. TMB 4 For the LORD taketh pleasure in His people; He will beautify the meek with salvation. NIV 4 For the LORD takes delight in his people; he crowns the humble with salvation. TMB 5 Let the saints be joyful in glory; let them sing aloud upon their beds. NIV 5 Let the saints rejoice in this honor and sing for joy on their beds. TMB 6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their hand NIV 6 May the praise of God be in their mouths and a double-edged sword in their hands, TMB 7 to execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people; NIV 7 to inflict vengeance on the nations and punishment on the peoples, TMB 8 to bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; NIV 8 to bind their kings with fetters, their nobles with shackles of iron, TMB 9 to execute upon them the judgment written: this honor have all His saints. Praise ye the LORD! NIV 9 to carry out the sentence written against them. This is the glory of all his saints. Praise the LORD.
