NLT 1 Why are the nations so angry? Why do they waste their time with futile plans? NIV 1 Why do the nations conspire and the peoples plot in vain? NLT 2 The kings of the earth prepare for battle; the rulers plot together against the and against his anointed one. NIV 2 The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers gather together against the LORD and against his Anointed One. NLT 3 “Let us break their chains,” they cry, “and free ourselves from slavery to God.” NIV 3 "Let us break their chains," they say, "and throw off their fetters."
