Psalm 25

NLT 1 A psalm of David. To you, O LORD, I lift up my soul. NIV 1 To you, O LORD, I lift up my soul; NLT 2 I trust in you, my God! Do not let me be disgraced, or let my enemies rejoice in my defeat. NIV 2 in you I trust, O my God. Do not let me be put to shame, nor let my enemies triumph over me. NLT 3 No one who trusts in you will ever be disgraced, but disgrace comes to those who try to deceive others. NIV 3 No one whose hope is in you will ever be put to shame, but they will be put to shame who are treacherous without excuse. NLT 4 Show me the path where I should walk, O LORD; point out the right road for me to follow. NIV 4 Show me your ways, O LORD, teach me your paths; NLT 5 Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you. NIV 5 guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long. NLT 6 Remember, O LORD, your unfailing love and compassion, which you have shown from long ages past. NIV 6 Remember, O LORD, your great mercy and love, for they are from of old. NLT 7 Forgive the rebellious sins of my youth; look instead through the eyes of your unfailing love, for you are merciful, O LORD. NIV 7 Remember not the sins of my youth and my rebellious ways; according to your love remember me, for you are good, O LORD. NLT 8 The LORD is good and does what is right; he shows the proper path to those who go astray. NIV 8 Good and upright is the LORD; therefore he instructs sinners in his ways. NLT 9 He leads the humble in what is right, teaching them his way. NIV 9 He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way. NLT 10 The LORD leads with unfailing love and faithfulness all those who keep his covenant and obey his decrees. NIV 10 All the ways of the LORD are loving and faithful for those who keep the demands of his covenant. NLT 11 For the honor of your name, O LORD, forgive my many, many sins. NIV 11 For the sake of your name, O LORD, forgive my iniquity, though it is great. NLT 12 Who are those who fear the LORD? He will show them the path they should choose. NIV 12 Who, then, is the man that fears the LORD? He will instruct him in the way chosen for him. NLT 13 They will live in prosperity, and their children will inherit the Promised Land. NIV 13 He will spend his days in prosperity, and his descendants will inherit the land. NLT 14 Friendship with the LORD is reserved for those who fear him. With them he shares the secrets of his covenant. NIV 14 The LORD confides in those who fear him; he makes his covenant known to them. NLT 15 My eyes are always looking to the LORD for help, for he alone can rescue me from the traps of my enemies. NIV 15 My eyes are ever on the LORD, for only he will release my feet from the snare. NLT 16 Turn to me and have mercy on me, for I am alone and in deep distress. NIV 16 Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted. NLT 17 My problems go from bad to worse. Oh, save me from them all! NIV 17 The troubles of my heart have multiplied; free me from my anguish. NLT 18 Feel my pain and see my trouble. Forgive all my sins. NIV 18 Look upon my affliction and my distress and take away all my sins. NLT 19 See how many enemies I have, and how viciously they hate me! NIV 19 See how my enemies have increased and how fiercely they hate me! NLT 20 Protect me! Rescue my life from them! Do not let me be disgraced, for I trust in you. NIV 20 Guard my life and rescue me; let me not be put to shame, for I take refuge in you. NLT 21 May integrity and honesty protect me, for I put my hope in you. NIV 21 May integrity and uprightness protect me, because my hope is in you. NLT 22 O God, ransom Israel from all its troubles. NIV 22 Redeem Israel, O God, from all their troubles!
