Psalm 87

CJB 1 A psalm of the sons of Korach. A song: On the holy mountains is [the city's] foundation. NIV 1 He has set his foundation on the holy mountain; CJB 2 ADONAI loves the gates of Tziyon more than all the dwellings in Ya'akov. NIV 2 the LORD loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob. CJB 3 Glorious things are said about you, city of God. (Selah) NIV 3 Glorious things are said of you, O city of God: "Selah" CJB 4 I count Rahav and Bavel among those who know me; Of P'leshet, Tzor and Ethiopia [they will say], "This one was born there." NIV 4 "I will record Rahab and Babylon among those who acknowledge me-- Philistia too, and Tyre, along with Cush-- and will say, 'This one was born in Zion.' " CJB 5 But of Tziyon it will be said, "This one and that was born in it, for the Most High himself establishes it." NIV 5 Indeed, of Zion it will be said, "This one and that one were born in her, and the Most High himself will establish her." CJB 6 When he registers the peoples, ADONAI will record, "This one was born there."(Selah) NIV 6 The LORD will write in the register of the peoples: "This one was born in Zion." "Selah" CJB 7 Singers and dancers alike say, "For me, you are the source of everything." NIV 7 As they make music they will sing, "All my fountains are in you."
