Psalm 92

RHE 1 (91-1) <A psalm of a canticle on the sabbath day.> (91-2) It is good to give praise to the Lord: and to sing to thy name, O most High. NIV 1 It is good to praise the LORD and make music to your name, O Most High, RHE 2 (91-3) To shew forth thy mercy in the morning, and thy truth in the night: NIV 2 to proclaim your love in the morning and your faithfulness at night, RHE 3 (91-4) Upon an instrument of ten strings, upon the psaltery: with a canticle upon the harp. NIV 3 to the music of the ten-stringed lyre and the melody of the harp. RHE 4 (91-5) For thou hast given me, O Lord, a delight in thy doings: and in the works of thy hands I shall rejoice. NIV 4 For you make me glad by your deeds, O LORD; I sing for joy at the works of your hands. RHE 5 (91-6) O Lord, how great are thy works! thy thoughts are exceeding deep. NIV 5 How great are your works, O LORD, how profound your thoughts! RHE 6 (91-7) The senseless man shall not know: nor will the fool understand these things. NIV 6 The senseless man does not know, fools do not understand, RHE 7 (91-8) When the wicked shall spring up as grass: and all the workers of iniquity shall appear: That they may perish for ever and ever: NIV 7 that though the wicked spring up like grass and all evildoers flourish, they will be forever destroyed. RHE 8 (91-9) But thou, O Lord, art most high for evermore. NIV 8 But you, O LORD, are exalted forever. RHE 9 (91-10) For behold thy enemies, O lord, for behold thy enemies shall perish: and all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered. NIV 9 For surely your enemies, O LORD, surely your enemies will perish; all evildoers will be scattered. RHE 10 (91-11) But my horn shall be exalted like that of the unicorn: and my old age in plentiful mercy. NIV 10 You have exalted my horn like that of a wild ox; fine oils have been poured upon me. RHE 11 (91-12) My eye also hath looked down upon my enemies: and my ear shall hear of the downfall of the malignant that rise up against me. NIV 11 My eyes have seen the defeat of my adversaries; my ears have heard the rout of my wicked foes. RHE 12 (91-13) The just shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow up like the cedar of Libanus. NIV 12 The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; RHE 13 (91-14) They that are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of the house of our God. NIV 13 planted in the house of the LORD, they will flourish in the courts of our God. RHE 14 (91-15) They shall still increase in a fruitful old age: and shall be well treated, NIV 14 They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green, RHE 15 (91-16) That they may shew, That the Lord our God is righteous, and there is no iniquity in him. NIV 15 proclaiming, "The LORD is upright; he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him."
