Isaías 60:15-22

15 »Aunque una vez fuiste despreciada y odiada,
y nadie pasaba por tus calles,
yo te haré hermosa para siempre,
una alegría para todas las generaciones.

16 Reyes poderosos y grandes naciones
colmarán todas tus necesidades,
como si fueras un niño
amamantado por una reina.
Por fin sabrás que yo, el Señor
,
soy tu Salvador y tu Redentor,
el Poderoso de Israel.

17 Cambiaré tu bronce por oro,
tu hierro por plata,
tu madera por bronce
y tus piedras por hierro.
Haré que la paz sea tu líder
y la justicia tu gobernante.

18 La violencia desaparecerá de tu tierra;
se terminarán la desolación y la destrucción de la guerra.
La salvación te rodeará como las murallas de una ciudad
y la alabanza estará en los labios de todos los que entren allí.

19 »Ya no necesitarás que el sol brille durante el día,
ni que la luna alumbre durante la noche,
porque el Señor
tu Dios será tu luz perpetua,
y tu Dios será tu gloria.

20 Tu sol nunca se pondrá;
tu luna nunca descenderá.
Pues el Señor
será tu luz perpetua.
Tus días de duelo llegarán a su fin.

21 Todo tu pueblo será justo;
poseerá para siempre su tierra,
pues yo lo plantaré allí con mis propias manos
con el fin de darme gloria a mí mismo.

22 La familia más pequeña se convertirá en mil personas
y el grupo más diminuto se convertirá en una nación poderosa.
A su debido tiempo, yo, el Señor
, haré que esto suceda».

INTRODUCTION TO ISAIAH 60

.

As, in the two preceding chapters, the hypocrisy and formality, the profaneness and immorality, that should abound in the latter day, and even among professors of religion, are prophesied of; so, in this, a very ample account is given of latter daylight and glory; of both the spiritual and personal reign of Christ, with the latter of which it concludes. The light and glory of the church, in the spiritual reign, are described, Isa 60:1-3 the numerous conversions of persons to it from all quarters, east and west particularly, are prophesied of, Isa 60:4-8, the great usefulness those should be of unto it, in enriching it, and building it up, and in glorifying it, is declared, Isa 60:9-13, as also the subjection of enemies to it; the favours it should receive from kings, and the fame and renown of it through all nations and ages, Isa 60:14-16, its riches, prosperity, peace, and safety, Isa 60:17,18 and the chapter is concluded with an account of the more perfect state of the church in the personal reign of Christ, when there will be a perfection of light and righteousness; and the number of God's elect will be complete, and they will be all together, Isa 60:19-22.
