1 Out of the depths1 I cry to you,2 O LORD; 2 O Lord, hear my voice.3 Let your ears be attentive4 to my cry for mercy.5 3 If you, O LORD, kept a record of sins, O Lord, who could stand?6 4 But with you there is forgiveness;7 therefore you are feared.8 5 I wait for the LORD,9 my soul waits,10 and in his word11 I put my hope. 6 My soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen12 wait for the morning, more than watchmen wait for the morning.13 7 O Israel, put your hope14 in the LORD, for with the LORD is unfailing love15 and with him is full redemption.16 8 He himself will redeem17 Israel from all their sins.18Scripture quoted by permission.
