May his descendants be cut off,1 their names blotted out2 from the next generation.
May the iniquity of his fathers3 be remembered before the LORD; may the sin of his mother never be blotted out.
May their sins always remain before4 the LORD, that he may cut off the memory5 of them from the earth.
For he never thought of doing a kindness, but hounded to death the poor and the needy6 and the brokenhearted.717
He loved to pronounce a curse-- may ita come on him;8 he found no pleasure in blessing-- may it beb far from him.
He wore cursing9 as his garment; it entered into his body like water,10 into his bones like oil.
May it be like a cloak wrapped11 about him, like a belt tied forever around him.
May this be the LORD's payment12 to my accusers, to those who speak evil13 of me.
But you, O Sovereign LORD, deal well with me for your name's sake;14 out of the goodness of your love,15 deliver me.1622
For I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded within me.
I fade away like an evening shadow;17 I am shaken off like a locust.
