They were seared by the intense heat and they cursed the name of God,1 who had control over these plagues, but they refused to repent2 and glorify him.310
The fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast,4 and his kingdom was plunged into darkness.5 Men gnawed their tongues in agony
and cursed6 the God of heaven7 because of their pains and their sores,8 but they refused to repent of what they had done.912
The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates,10 and its water was dried up to prepare the way11 for the kings from the East.1213
Then I saw three evila spirits13 that looked like frogs;14 they came out of the mouth of the dragon,15 out of the mouth of the beast16 and out of the mouth of the false prophet.1714
They are spirits of demons18 performing miraculous signs,19 and they go out to the kings of the whole world,20 to gather them for the battle21 on the great day22 of God Almighty.
15"Behold, I come like a thief !23 Blessed is he who stays awake24 and keeps his clothes with him, so that he may not go naked and be shamefully exposed."2516
Then they gathered the kings together26 to the place that in Hebrew27 is called Armageddon.2817
The seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air,29 and out of the temple30 came a loud voice31 from the throne, saying, "It is done!"3218
Then there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder33 and a severe earthquake.34 No earthquake like it has ever occurred since man has been on earth,35 so tremendous was the quake.
The great city36 split into three parts, and the cities of the nations collapsed. God remembered37 Babylon the Great38 and gave her the cup filled with the wine of the fury of his wrath.39
