Romans 4:23

Now it was not written for his sake alone
This was not left on the sacred records, ( Genesis 15:6 ) ,

that it was imputed to him;
purely on his account, merely for his sake, as an encomium of his faith, and an honourable testimony to it, and for the encouragement of it; though this was doing him a very great honour, and was one design of it.

22 Ond’è che ciò gli fu messo in conto di giustizia.

23 Or non per lui soltanto sta scritto che questo gli fu messo in conto di giustizia,

24 ma anche per noi ai quali sarà così messo in conto; per noi che crediamo in Colui che ha risuscitato dai morti Gesù, nostro Signore,

25 il quale è stato dato a cagione delle nostre offese, ed è risuscitato a cagione della nostra giustificazione.
