The Lord said to Samuel, "How long are you going to mourn for Saul, since I have rejected him as king over Israel? Fill your horn with oil and go. I am sending you to Jesse of Bethlehem because I have selected a king from his sons."

The LORD said to Samuel, "How long will you grieve over Saul, since I have rejected him from being king over Israel? Fill your horn with oil, and go. I will send you to Jesse the Bethlehemite, for I have provided for myself a king among his sons."

God addressed Samuel: "So, how long are you going to mope over Saul? You know I've rejected him as king over Israel. Fill your flask with anointing oil and get going. I'm sending you to Jesse of Bethlehem. I've spotted the very king I want among his sons."

Então disse o Senhor a Samuel: Até quando terás dó de Saul, havendo-o eu rejeitado, para que não reine sobre Israel? Enche o teu vaso de azeite, e vem; enviar-te-ei a Jessé o belemita, porque dentre os seus filhos me tenho provido de um rei.

Y el SEÑOR dijo a Samuel: ¿Hasta cuándo te lamentarás por Saúl, después que yo lo he desechado para que no reine sobre Israel? Llena tu cuerno de aceite y ve; te enviaré a Isaí, el de Belén, porque de entre sus hijos he escogido un rey para mí.

Und Jehova sprach zu Samuel: Bis wann willst du um Saul trauern, da ich ihn doch verworfen habe, daß er nicht mehr König über Israel sei? Fülle dein Horn mit Öl und gehe hin, ich will dich zu Isai, dem Bethlehemiter, senden; denn ich habe mir unter seinen Söhnen einen König ersehen.

L'Eternel dit à Samuel: Quand cesseras-tu de pleurer sur Saül? Je l'ai rejeté, afin qu'il ne règne plus sur Israël. Remplis ta corne d'huile, et va; je t'enverrai chez Isaï, Bethléhémite, car j'ai vu parmi ses fils celui que je désire pour roi.

Und der HERR sprach zu Samuel: Wie lange trägst du Leid um Saul, den ich verworfen habe, daß er nicht König sei über Israel? Fülle dein Horn mit Öl und gehe hin: ich will dich senden zu dem Bethlehemiter Isai; denn unter seinen Söhnen habe ich mir einen König ersehen.

Samuel unge a David como rey Ahora bien, el Señor le dijo a Samuel: —Ya has hecho suficiente duelo por Saúl. Lo he rechazado como rey de Israel, así que llena tu frasco con aceite de oliva y ve a Belén. Busca a un hombre llamado Isaí que vive allí, porque he elegido a uno de sus hijos para que sea mi rey.

El SEÑOR le dijo a Samuel:—¿Cuánto tiempo vas a quedarte llorando por Saúl, si ya lo he rechazado como rey de Israel? Mejor llena de aceite tu cuerno, y ponte en camino. Voy a enviarte a Belén, a la casa de Isaí, pues he escogido como rey a uno de sus hijos.

O SENHOR disse a Samuel: “Até quando você irá se entristecer por causa de Saul? Eu o rejeitei como rei de Israel. Encha um chifre com óleo e vá a Belém; eu o enviarei a Jessé. Escolhi um de seus filhos para fazê-lo rei”.
