And he said unto them, what manner of man was he What appearance or figure did he make? what his habit or clothing? which came up to meet you, and told you these words? they had related to him.

When the messengers returned to the king, he asked them, âWhy have you come back?â

âA man came to meet us,â they replied. âAnd he said to us, âGo back to the king who sent you and tell him, âThis is what the LORD says: Is it because there is no God in Israel that you are sending messengers to consult Baal-Zebub, the god of Ekron? Therefore you will not leave the bed you are lying on. You will certainly die!â â â

They replied, âHe had a garment of hair and had a leather belt around his waist.â The king said, âThat was Elijah the Tishbite.â

Then he sent to Elijah a captain with his company of fifty men. The captain went up to Elijah, who was sitting on the top of a hill, and said to him, âMan of God, the king says, âCome down!â â
