"As God lives," Elisha replied, "the God whom I serve, I'll take nothing from you." Naaman tried his best to get him to take something, but he wouldn't do it.

But Elisha replied, “As surely as the LORD lives, whom I serve, I will not accept any gifts.” And though Naaman urged him to take the gift, Elisha refused.

The prophet answered, "I serve the Lord. You can be sure that he lives. And you can be just as sure that I won't accept a gift from you." Even though Naaman begged him to take it, Elisha wouldn't.

And Elisha answered, The Lord liveth before whom I stand, for I shall not take it of thee. And when he made great force thereto, (that is, had pressed him greatly,) Elisha assented not utterly. (And Elisha answered, As the Lord liveth, whom I stand before, I shall not take it from thee. And when Naaman greatly pressed him, and insisted, Elisha would still not agree.)
