2 Samuel 15:35

And [hast thou] not there with thee Zadok and Abiathar the
priests?
&c.] To assist in forming schemes directly opposite to Ahithophel's, or to whom he could communicate the secrets of Absalom's court:

therefore it shall be [that] what thing soever thou shalt hear out of
the king's house;
Absalom's, who had now, at possession of the house and palace of David:

thou shalt tell [it] to Zadok and Abiathar the priests;
to whom he might have recourse without suspicion, pretending he had business with them as priests, on religious accounts, to offer sacrifices for him, &c.

33 Disse-lhe Davi: Se fores comigo, ser-me-ás pesado;
34 porém se voltares para a cidade, e disseres a Absalão: Eu serei, ó rei, teu servo; como fui dantes servo de teu pai, assim agora serei teu servo; dissipar-me-ás então a conselho de Aitofel.
35 E não estão ali contigo Zadoque e Abiatar, sacerdotes? Portanto, tudo o que ouvires da casa do rei lhes dirás.
36 Eis que estão também ali com eles seus dois filhos, Aimaaz, filho de Zadoque, e Jônatas, filho de Abiatar; por eles me avisareis de tudo o que ouvirdes.
37 Husai, pois, amigo de Davi, voltou para a cidade. E Absalão entrou em Jerusalém.
