Luke 8:40

And it came to pass, that when Jesus was returned
From the country of the Gadarenes, to the other side of the sea of Tiberias, to Galilee; and particularly to his own city, Capernaum; ( Matthew 9:1 ) .

The people gladly received him;
who were of a different cast from those he had just left; being sensible of the benefits they received from him, both by his ministry and miracles; and which was the reason of their receiving him with so much joy and gladness:

for they were all waiting for him;
on the shore, looking out very eagerly for him, being earnestly desirous of his speedy return to them; having many that wanted his assistance, both for their souls and bodies, of which the following are instances.

38 Pedia-lhe, porém, o homem de quem haviam saído os demônios que o deixasse estar com ele; mas Jesus o despediu, dizendo:
39 Volta para tua casa, e conta tudo quanto Deus te fez. E ele se retirou, publicando por toda a cidade tudo quanto Jesus lhe fizera.
40 Quando Jesus voltou, a multidão o recebeu; porque todos o estavam esperando.
41 E eis que veio um homem chamado Jairo, que era chefe da sinagoga; e prostrando-se aos pés de Jesus, rogava-lhe que fosse a sua casa;
42 porque tinha uma filha única, de cerca de doze anos, que estava � morte. Enquanto, pois, ele ia, apertavam-no as multidões.
