1 Chronicles 4:39

And they went to the entrance of Gedor
There was a city of this name in the tribe of Judah, ( 1 Chronicles 4:18 ) but this seems to be further off, and perhaps is the same with Gedaris, mentioned by Strabo

F12 along with Azotus and Askelon, cities that belonged to the Philistines; since it was inhabited by the posterity of Ham, of whom the Philistines were, as in the following verse:

even unto the east side of the valley;
which was near to Gedor, and a suitable place:

to seek pasture for their flocks;
their sheep and goats.

37 Ziza, hijo de Sifi, hijo de Alón, hijo de Jedaías, hijo de Simri, hijo de Semaías;
38 éstos, mencionados por nombre, fueron jefes de sus familias; y sus casas paternas aumentaron en gran manera.
39 Y fueron a la entrada de Gedor, hasta el lado oriental del valle, para buscar pastos para sus ganados.
40 Y encontraron pastos abundantes y buenos, y la tierra era espaciosa, tranquila y reposada, porque los que habitaban antes allí eran los de Cam.
41 Y éstos, registrados por nombre, llegaron en los días de Ezequías, rey de Judá, y atacaron sus tiendas y a los meunitas que se encontraban allí, y los destruyeron completamente hasta el día de hoy, y habitaron en su lugar, porque había allí pastos para sus ganados.
