The elder women as mothers
When they offend in any point, they are to be reasoned, and argued, and pleaded with, as children should with their mothers; see ( Hosea 2:2 ) and are to be considered as mothers in Israel, and to be treated with great tenderness and respect. The younger as sisters;
using the freedom as a brother may with a sister; and considering them as sisters in Christ, and in a way becoming the relation, tell them their faults freely and privately, but with all purity:
in such manner as to preserve chastity in looks, in words, and actions.

1 No reprendas con dureza al anciano, sino, m谩s bien, exh贸rtalo como a padre; a los m谩s j贸venes, como a hermanos,
2 a las ancianas, como a madres; a las m谩s j贸venes, como a hermanas, con toda pureza.
3 Honra a las viudas que en verdad son viudas;
4 pero si alguna viuda tiene hijos o nietos, que aprendan 茅stos primero a mostrar piedad para con su propia familia y a recompensar a sus padres, porque esto es agradable delante de Dios.
5 Pero la que en verdad es viuda y se ha quedado sola, tiene puesta su esperanza en Dios y contin煤a en s煤plicas y oraciones noche y d铆a.
