7 Cuando el SEÑOR vio que se habían humillado, vino la palabra del SEÑOR a Semaías, diciendo: Se han humillado; no los destruiré, sino que les concederé cierta libertad y mi furor no se derramará sobre Jerusalén por medio de Sisac.

2 Chronicles 12:7

And when the Lord saw that they humbled themselves
Though but externally; the Lord takes notice of external humiliation, as he did of Ahab's, ( 1 Kings 21:29 ) ,

the word of the Lord came to Shemaiah, saying, they have humbled
themselves, therefore I will not destroy them;
not now, at least not altogether, ( 2 Chronicles 12:12 ) ,

but I will grant them some deliverance;
yet not a complete one, for they were brought into servitude by Shishak, ( 2 Chronicles 12:8 ) , or only for a short time:

and my wrath shall not be poured out against Jerusalem by the hand of
Shishak;
that is, to the uttermost; that was reserved to another time, and to be done by another hand, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon.

5 Entonces el profeta Semaías vino a Roboam y a los príncipes de Judá que se habían reunido en Jerusalén por causa de Sisac, y les dijo: Así dice el SEÑOR: "Vosotros me habéis abandonado, por eso también yo os abandono en manos de Sisac."

6 Y los príncipes de Israel y el rey se humillaron y dijeron: Justo es el SEÑOR.

7 Cuando el SEÑOR vio que se habían humillado, vino la palabra del SEÑOR a Semaías, diciendo: Se han humillado; no los destruiré, sino que les concederé cierta libertad y mi furor no se derramará sobre Jerusalén por medio de Sisac.

8 Pero serán sus siervos para que aprendan la diferencia entre servirme a mí y servir a los reinos de los países.

9 Subió, pues, Sisac, rey de Egipto, contra Jerusalén y tomó los tesoros de la casa del SEÑOR y los tesoros del palacio del rey. De todo se apoderó, tomó hasta los escudos de oro que había hecho Salomón.
