2 Samuel 12:26

And Joab fought against Rabbah of the children of Ammon
Of his being sent against it, and of his besieging it, we read in ( 2 Samuel 11:1 ) ; but it can hardly be thought that he had been so long besieging it, as that David had two children by Bathsheba; but the account of the finishing of it is placed here, that the story concerning Bathsheba might lie together without any interruption:

and took the royal city;
or that part of it in which the king's palace was, and which, as Abarbinel observes, was without the city, as the palaces of kings now usually are.

24 Y David consol贸 a Betsab茅 su mujer, y vino a ella y se acost贸 con ella; y ella dio a luz un hijo; y 茅l le puso por nombre Salom贸n. Y el SE脩OR lo am贸,
25 y envi贸 un mensaje por medio del profeta Nat谩n, y le puso el nombre de Jedid铆as , por causa del SE脩OR.
26 Joab combati贸 contra Rab谩 de los hijos de Am贸n, y conquist贸 la ciudad real.
27 Entonces Joab envi贸 mensajeros a David que le dijeran: He combatido contra Rab谩, y tambi茅n he tomado la ciudad de las aguas.
28 Ahora pues, re煤ne el resto del pueblo y acampa contra la ciudad y t贸mala, no sea que tome yo la ciudad y se le llame por mi nombre.
