Deuteronomio 26:8 Meaning and Commentary

Deuteronomy 26:8

And the Lord brought us forth out of Egypt
After some time:

with a mighty hand and with an outstretched arm;
by his almighty power, of which full proof was given by what he then did, ( Deuteronomy 5:15 ) ;

and with great terribleness:
to Pharaoh and his people, through the plagues that were inflicted on them, especially the last, the slaying of their firstborn; see ( Deuteronomy 4:34 ) ;

and with signs and with wonders;
wrought by the hands of Moses and Aaron, meaning the ten plagues, often so called.

6 "Y los egipcios nos maltrataron y nos afligieron y pusieron sobre nosotros dura servidumbre.
7 "Entonces clamamos al SE脩OR, el Dios de nuestros padres, y el SE脩OR oy贸 nuestra voz y vio nuestra aflicci贸n, nuestro trabajo y nuestra opresi贸n;
8 y el SE脩OR nos sac贸 de Egipto con mano fuerte y brazo extendido, con gran terror, con se帽ales y milagros;
9 y nos ha tra铆do a este lugar y nos ha dado esta tierra, una tierra que mana leche y miel.
10 "Ahora, he aqu铆, he tra铆do las primicias de los frutos de la tierra que t煤, oh SE脩OR, me has dado." Entonces las pondr谩s delante del SE脩OR tu Dios, y adorar谩s delante del SE脩OR tu Dios.
