11 Os acercasteis, pues, y permanecisteis al pie del monte, y el monte ardía en fuego hasta el mismo cielo: oscuridad, nube y densas tinieblas.

Deuteronomy 4:11

And ye came near and stood under the mountain
At the foot of it, in the lower part of the mountain, as the Targum of Jonathan, and agrees with ( Exodus 19:17 )

and the mountain burnt with fire unto the midst of heaven;
the flame and smoke went up into the middle of the air: with darkness, clouds, and thick darkness; which thick darkness was occasioned partly by the smoke, which went up like the smoke of a furnace, and partly by the thick clouds, which were on the mount, and covered the face of the heavens, which were black and tempestuous with them; the Septuagint renders it a "tempest", ( Exodus 19:18 ) ( Hebrews 12:18 ) , which denotes the obscurity of the law, and the terrors it works in the minds of men.

9 Por tanto, cuídate y guarda tu alma con diligencia, para que no te olvides de las cosas que tus ojos han visto, y no se aparten de tu corazón todos los días de tu vida; sino que las hagas saber a tus hijos y a tus nietos.

10 Recuerda el día que estuviste delante del SEÑOR tu Dios en Horeb, cuando el SEÑOR me dijo: "Reúneme el pueblo para que yo les haga oír mis palabras, a fin de que aprendan a temerme todos los días que vivan sobre la tierra y las enseñen a sus hijos."

11 Os acercasteis, pues, y permanecisteis al pie del monte, y el monte ardía en fuego hasta el mismo cielo: oscuridad, nube y densas tinieblas.

12 Entonces el SEÑOR os habló de en medio del fuego; oísteis su voz, sólo la voz, pero no visteis figura alguna.

13 Y El os declaró su pacto, el cual os mandó poner por obra: esto es, los diez mandamientos, y los escribió en dos tablas de piedra.
