Isaías 60:7-17

7 Todos los rebaños de Cedar serán reunidos para ti, los carneros de Nebaiot estarán a tu servicio; subirán como ofrenda agradable sobre mi altar, y yo glorificaré la casa de mi gloria.

8 ¿Quiénes son éstos que vuelan como nubes, y como palomas a sus ventanas?

9 Ciertamente las costas me esperarán, y las naves de Tarsis vendrán primero, para traer a tus hijos de lejos, y su plata y su oro con ellos, por el nombre del SEÑOR tu Dios, y por el Santo de Israel que El te ha glorificado.

10 Extranjeros edificarán tus murallas, y sus reyes te servirán; porque en mi furor te herí, pero en mi benevolencia he tenido compasión de ti.

11 Tus puertas estarán abiertas de continuo; ni de día ni de noche se cerrarán, para que te traigan las riquezas de las naciones, con sus reyes llevados en procesión.

12 Porque la nación y el reino que no te sirvan, perecerán, y esas naciones serán ciertamente destruidas.

13 La gloria del Líbano vendrá a ti, el ciprés, el olmo y el boj a una, para hermosear el lugar de mi santuario; y yo haré glorioso el lugar de mis pies.

14 Vendrán a ti humillados los hijos de los que te afligieron, se postrarán a las plantas de tus pies todos los que te despreciaban, y te llamarán Ciudad del SEÑOR, Sion del Santo de Israel.

15 Por cuanto tú estabas abandonada y aborrecida, sin que nadie pasara por ti, haré de ti gloria eterna, gozo de generación en generación.

16 Y mamarás la leche de las naciones, al pecho de los reyes mamarás; entonces sabrás que yo, el SEÑOR, soy tu Salvador y tu Redentor, el Poderoso de Jacob.

17 En vez de bronce, traeré oro, en vez de hierro, traeré plata, en vez de madera, bronce, y en vez de piedras, hierro. Pondré como tus administradores la paz, y como tus gobernantes la justicia.

INTRODUCTION TO ISAIAH 60

.

As, in the two preceding chapters, the hypocrisy and formality, the profaneness and immorality, that should abound in the latter day, and even among professors of religion, are prophesied of; so, in this, a very ample account is given of latter daylight and glory; of both the spiritual and personal reign of Christ, with the latter of which it concludes. The light and glory of the church, in the spiritual reign, are described, Isa 60:1-3 the numerous conversions of persons to it from all quarters, east and west particularly, are prophesied of, Isa 60:4-8, the great usefulness those should be of unto it, in enriching it, and building it up, and in glorifying it, is declared, Isa 60:9-13, as also the subjection of enemies to it; the favours it should receive from kings, and the fame and renown of it through all nations and ages, Isa 60:14-16, its riches, prosperity, peace, and safety, Isa 60:17,18 and the chapter is concluded with an account of the more perfect state of the church in the personal reign of Christ, when there will be a perfection of light and righteousness; and the number of God's elect will be complete, and they will be all together, Isa 60:19-22.
