Números 18:5

5 Así atenderéis a las obligaciones del santuario y a las obligaciones del altar, a fin de que la ira no venga más sobre los hijos de Israel.

Numbers 18:5

And ye shall keep the charge of the sanctuary
That is, the priests, Aaron and his sons; the high priest was to keep the charge of the most holy place particularly, and do what was to be done in that on the day of atonement; and the common priests to keep the charge of the holy place, and do everything relating to the altar of incense, the shewbread table, and candlestick: and the charge of the altar;
of burnt offering, which stood in the court of the tabernacle: that there be no wrath any more upon the children of Israel:
as had been upon Korah and his company, ( Numbers 16:32 Numbers 16:33 ) , and as afterwards came on Uzziah, ( 2 Chronicles 26:19-21 ) .

3 Y atenderán a lo que tú ordenes y a las obligaciones de toda la tienda, pero no se acercarán a los utensilios del santuario y del altar, para que no mueran, tanto ellos como vosotros.

4 Y ellos se juntarán contigo, y atenderán a las obligaciones de la tienda de reunión, para todo el servicio de la tienda; pero ningún extraño se acercará a vosotros.

5 Así atenderéis a las obligaciones del santuario y a las obligaciones del altar, a fin de que la ira no venga más sobre los hijos de Israel.

6 He aquí, yo mismo he tomado a vuestros hermanos, los levitas, de entre los hijos de Israel; son un regalo para vosotros, dedicados al SEÑOR, para servir en el ministerio de la tienda de reunión.

7 Pero tú y tus hijos contigo atenderéis a vuestro sacerdocio en todo lo concerniente al altar y a lo que está dentro del velo, y ministraréis. Os doy el sacerdocio como un regalo para servir, pero el extraño que se acerque morirá.
