27 Y aconteci贸 que en el a帽o treinta y siete del cautiverio de Joaqu铆n, rey de Jud谩, en el mes duod茅cimo, a los veintisiete d铆as del mes, Evil-merodac, rey de Babilonia, en el a帽o en que comenz贸 a reinar, sac贸 de la prisi贸n a Joaqu铆n, rey de Jud谩;
28 y le habl贸 con benevolencia y puso su trono por encima de los tronos de los reyes que estaban con 茅l en Babilonia.
29 Le cambi贸 sus vestidos de prisi贸n, y comi贸 en la presencia del rey siempre, todos los d铆as de su vida;
30 y para su sustento, se le dio de continuo una raci贸n de parte del rey, una porci贸n para cada d铆a, todos los d铆as de su vida.

INTRODUCTION TO 2 KINGS 25

In this chapter is an account of the siege, taking, and burning of the city of Jerusalem, and of the carrying captive the king and the inhabitants to Babylon, 2Ki 25:1-12, as also of the pillars and vessels of the temple brought thither, 2Ki 25:13-17 and of the putting to death several of the principal persons of the land, 2Ki 25:18-22, and of the miserable condition of the rest under Gedaliah, whom Ishmael slew, 2Ki 25:23-26, and the chapter, and so the history, is concluded with the kindness Jehoiachin met with from the king of Babylon, after thirty seven years' captivity, 2Ki 25:27-30.
