Éxodo 6:13-27

13 Entonces el SEÑOR habló a Moisés y a Aarón, y les dio órdenes para los hijos de Israel y para Faraón, rey de Egipto, a fin de sacar a los hijos de Israel de la tierra de Egipto.

14 Estos son los jefes de las casas paternas. Los hijos de Rubén, primogénito de Israel: Hanoc, Falú, Hezrón y Carmi. Estas son las familias de Rubén.

15 Y los hijos de Simeón: Jemuel, Jamín, Ohad, Jaquín, Zohar y Saúl, hijo de una cananea. Estas son las familias de Simeón.

16 Y estos son los nombres de los hijos de Leví según sus generaciones: Gersón, Coat y Merari. Y los años de la vida de Leví fueron ciento treinta y siete años.

17 Los hijos de Gersón: Libni y Simei, según sus familias.

18 Y los hijos de Coat: Amram, Izhar, Hebrón y Uziel. Y los años de la vida de Coat fueron ciento treinta y tres años.

19 Y los hijos de Merari: Mahli y Musi. Estas son las familias de los levitas según sus generaciones.

20 Y Amram tomó por mujer a Jocabed, su tía, y ella le dio a luz a Aarón y a Moisés; y los años de la vida de Amram fueron ciento treinta y siete años.

21 Y los hijos de Izhar: Coré, Nefeg y Zicri.

22 Y los hijos de Uziel: Misael, Elzafán y Sitri.

23 Y Aarón tomó por mujer a Eliseba, hija de Aminadab, hermana de Naasón, y ella le dio a luz a Nadab, Abiú, Eleazar e Itamar.

24 Y los hijos de Coré: Asir, Elcana y Abiasaf. Estas son las familias de los coreítas.

25 Y Eleazar, hijo de Aarón, tomó por mujer a una de las hijas de Futiel, y ella le dio a luz a Finees. Estos son los jefes de las casas paternas de los levitas, según sus familias.

26 Estos son Aarón y Moisés a quienes dijo el SEÑOR: Sacad a los hijos de Israel de la tierra de Egipto por sus ejércitos.

27 Ellos fueron los que hablaron a Faraón, rey de Egipto, para sacar a los hijos de Israel de Egipto, esto es, Moisés y Aarón.

INTRODUCTION TO EXODUS 6

The Lord encourages Moses to hope for success from his name Jehovah, and the covenant he had made with the fathers of his people, Ex 6:1-5, orders him to assure the children of Israel that he would deliver them from their bondage and burdens, and bring them into the land of Canaan; but through their distress and anguish they hearkened not to him, Ex 6:6-9 but Moses is sent again to Pharaoh to demand the dismission of Israel, to which he seems unwilling, and both he and Aaron are charged both to go to the children of Israel, and to Pharaoh, Ex 6:10-13, next follows a genealogy of the tribes of Reuben, Simeon, and Levi, which seems to be given for the sake of Moses and Aaron, and to show their descent, Ex 6:14-15, who were the persons appointed of God to be the instruments of bringing the children of Israel out of Egypt, Ex 6:26-30.
