Mark 6:10 Meaning and Commentary

Mark 6:10

And he said unto them
He continued giving orders and directions to them, saying,

in what place soever you enter into an house, there abide till ye
depart from that place:
that is, in whatsoever city or town they should come to, the first house they went into, they should continue in, during their stay in that city or town, and not shift from house to house; (See Gill on Matthew 10:11).

Mark 6:10 In-Context

8 He instructed them to take nothing but a staff for the journey—no bread, no bag, no money in their belts—
9 and to wear sandals, but not a second tunic.
10 And He told them, “When you enter a house, stay there until you leave that area.
11 If anyone will not welcome you or listen to you, shake the dust off your feet when you leave that place, as a testimony against them.”
12 So they set out and preached that the people should repent.
