Matthew 28:16-20

Listen to Matthew 28:16-20

The Great Commission

16 Meanwhile, the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain Jesus had designated. 1
17 When they saw Him, they worshiped Him, but some doubted.
18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.
19 Therefore go and make disciples [a] of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
20 and teaching them to obey all that I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

It’s been well said that, “Whatever God calls us to do, He will give the ability to do it!"  If that’s so then why is so much of what He’s called us to do still left undone? In Matthew 28 we run across the great commission. If you were with us last time you’ll remember Jesus gave His disciples the authority needed to fulfill this high and holy calling. And we’ll begin today with the authority given to us for access to God by prayer.
