I am deeply indebted to a number of people, more than I can adequately acknowledge. Most of all I am grateful for Tracy. Babe, you are God’s good gift of grace to me. I love you. I’m also thankful for my daughters Sarah Grace and Kessed Noel, whom I love and who make me happier and more grateful than any one man should be. Finally, I am grateful to the people of Frederick Boulevard Baptist Church whom I was serving when I began writing this, and among whom I learned to love preaching through the Old Testament. Thank you, all of you.

I would like to express my deep appreciation for those who have assisted me in completing this book. I am thankful for Hamilton Barber, Jake Pratt, Paul Laso, and Linda Brown for reviewing the manuscript and examining its integrity. I could not have completed the book without your input. I am thankful for the loving supportive congregation of people I have the privilege of preaching to every week at Brainerd Baptist Church. I am grateful for my wife Kandi, who motivates me every day to be a better husband, father, and follower of Christ. Finally, I am eternally thankful for the grace that was extended to me on November 12, 2002. Jesus came looking for me when I wasn’t looking for Him.

I am very grateful to God for several people who helped me bring my commentary on Zechariah to completion. My precious wife, Michele, was a tremendous encourager and wonderful content editor, as always. Thanks also to Perry Kosieniak for valuable editorial insight and assistance. Barbie Frost, my executive assistant, zealously guarded my schedule as I wrote. The congregation of Bell Shoals Baptist Church and listeners to the Moving Forward radio program provided a receptive and appreciative audience for my sermons from this book, and they have undergirded my efforts with prayer. To God alone be the glory!
