20:1 This invasion is not recorded in the books of Kings. It was included here to show the king’s repentance and trust in the Lord, along with the positive results of that act of faith.
20:31 “Reigned twenty-five years”: in 2Kg 3:1 and 8:16 his reign is recorded to be twenty-two years. The difference is because of the three year coregency with his father Asa.
20:34 “Israel’s Kings”: Judah was, as far as the Chronicler was concerned, the only part of the nation that remained loyal to Israel’s legitimate king.
