2 Samuel 20 Footnotes

20:23-26 This list of David’s officials differs from the earlier list in 8:16-18, but does not contradict it. The two lists apparently contain the names of individuals who held key positions in David’s administration at different times. The present list seems to name the persons who held these positions at the end of David’s forty-year reign.
