Attempted to kill David (18:11,17,25; 19:10-17; 23:8,25; 24:2; 26:2); spared by David (1Sm 24; 26). Among the prophets (10:9-13; 19:18-24). Consulted a medium to inquire of Samuel (1Sm 28). Killed by Philistines (1Sm 31).
