And I will do in thee that which I have not done, and whereunto I will not do any more the like, because of all thine abominations.

- The sentence here passed upon Jerusalem is very dreadful, and the manner of expression makes it yet more so: the judgments are various, the threatenings of them varied, reiterated; so that one may well say, Who is able to stand in God's sight when he is angry?
