And it shall be, when thou hast made an end of reading this book, that thou shalt bind a stone to it, and cast it into the midst of Euphrates:

- This was the emblem of its overthrow and irretrievable ruin; and the same emblem is employed in Revelation 18:21 ,to denote the utter ruin of mystical Babylon.
